Abstract

This article discusses the methods and features of examining the state of the oral cavity in pregnant women. Pregnancy is a physiological state of the female body, which is often accompanied by exacerbation of various chronic pathological processes due to the increased demands placed on the organs and systems during this period. At the onset of pregnancy there are profound hormonal shifts and changes in immunological reactivity, which adversely affect the clinic of latent various chronic diseases of bacterial genesis [7]. One of the vivid manifestations of this period are changes in the state of oral organs and tissues, both periodontal and dental [1,2,4]. When studying the mechanism of oral tissue pathology development during pregnancy, the presence of extragenital and gynecological diseases, number of pregnancies, trimester and complications of pregnancy, age of a woman and other reasons are of great importance. The existing oral diseases and pathologies
complicated by the onset and development of pregnancy are of no small importance.
