В данной статье исследованы мнения ученых-правоведов относительно социальной защиты, форм социального обеспечения, проанализированы виды и формы социального обеспечения, а также освещены организационно-правовые формы социальной защиты сотрудников органов внутренних дел, сущность проявлений социальных гарантий. Вместе с тем, изложены мнения ученых по вопросу разделения видов социальной защиты и социального обеспечения на принципы, а также проведен анализ результатов внедрения новых видов социальных гарантий социальной защиты сотрудников органов внутренних дел в результате реформ последних лет.
