Reproduktiv turizm yoki “transchegaraviy reproduktiv yordam” – bu odamlar reproduktiv texnologiyalardan foydalanish uchun xalqaro chegaralarni kesib o‘tadigan hodisa. Transchegaraviy reproduktiv yordamning eng tez rivojlanayotgan toifalaridan biri – bu xalqaro surrogatlik, bu yerda bepusht mijozlar chet ellik surrogat onalarning pullik xizmatlaridan foydalanish uchun dunyo bo‘ylab sayohat qilishadi. Bu noyob huquqiy, axloqiy va xavflarni boshqarish muammolariga duch keladigan ko‘p milliard dollarlik global sanoat hisoblanadi. Bitim tomonlarining barchasi muayyan xavflarga duch kelishadi. Surrogat onalar uchun tavakkalchilik ularning iqtisodiy zaifligi tufayli roziligi natijada va adolatsiz narxdan bo‘lsa ham foydalanish imkoniyatidan kelib chiqadi. Shu bilan birga, reproduktiv xizmatlarni olish uchun sayohat qilish zarurati odamlarni o‘z mamlakatlaridan chiqib ketishga majbur qiladigan qonuniy cheklovlar va ushbu xizmatlardan foydalanish uchun bemorlarni xorijiy mamlakatlarga jalb qiladigan xizmatlar ochiqligi bilan belgilanadi. Tibbiy turizmning barcha turlarida maqsad, odatda, tejamkorlik va maqbullikdir, ya'ni chet elda xizmatlarning arzonligi, shuningdek xizmat uchun kutish ro‘yxatini yoki xizmat uchun ichki huquqiy to‘siqni chetlab o‘tish imkoniyatlaridir. Biroq, transchegaraviy yordam ko‘rsatish sabablari murakkab bo‘lishi mumkin va murojaat qilinayotgan xizmatning xususiyatiga bog‘liq.
