Ushbu ilmiy maqola zamonamizning dolzarb masalalaridan biri – mehnat migrantlarini huquqiy himoya qilish, ya’ni mehnat migrantlari huquqlarini himoya qilishni ta’minlashda konsullarning rolini o‘rganishga bag‘ishlangan. Konsullar faoliyatini tartibga soluvchi asosiy qoidalar, mehnat muhojirlari faoliyati uchun qulay shart-sharoitlarni ta’minlovchi xalqaro standartlar bilan bir qatorda o‘rganiladi. Empirik usullardan foydalangan holda olib borilgan tahlillar asosida O‘zbekistonlik mehnat migrantlarini xorijiy davlatlarda munosib huquqiy himoya qilishda konsullarning rolini oshirish bo‘yicha amaliy tavsiyalar berilgan.
