The article analyzes the genesis and current state of reforms carried out in the system of internal affairs bodies of Asia, Latin America and Africa states, as well as the main points of the transition to a police model. Also, the main directions, legal status, tasks and powers of the internal affairs bodies, the structure of which is systematically analyzed on the basis of the current legislation and proposals for the transition to the police model of the internal affairs bodies in the Republic of Uzbekistan have been developed.
