THE LEGAL PROTECTION OF ADOPTION SECRECY AND LIABILITY FOR ITS DISCLOSURE

This article examines the concept of adoption secrecy, its legal protection, and the liability measures
prescribed for its disclosure. The author emphasizes the necessity of ensuring legal, psychological,
and moral protection of children through the institution of adoption. Furthermore, the article analyzes
the criminal liability stipulated by Article 125 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan
for individuals who disclose adoption secrets. The study also includes a comparative legal analysis
based on the experiences of foreign countries. The author highlights existing gaps and shortcomings
in the national legislation and advocates for strengthening the legal framework governing adoption
secrecy.
