LEGAL REGULATION OF CRYPTO-ASSETS IN THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN

This scientific article presents scientific and theoretical approach towards the procedure of performing operations in relation to crypto-assets, the analysis of the legislation in this sphere and the current practice in the market. The effect of the legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan regarding crypto-assets on the practice in the sphere of crypto-assets is illustrated with specific examples. The stages of development of legislation in this sphere is described in this Article. The turnover of crypto-assets is studied and the grounds for making transactions and carrying out operations in relation to crypto-assets is noted. The author also describes the legal basis of licensing crypto-exchanges. The procedure of acquiring license, the requirements of license and its legal basis are noted. A particular attention was paid to the possibility of using crypto-assets in money laundering, financing terrorism and financing distribution of weapons of mass destruction.
