ANALYSIS OF THE PLACE OF EXAMINATION IN THE SYSTEM OF INVESTIGATIVE ACTIONS AND ITS CORRELATION WITH OTHER INVESTIGATIVE ACTIONS

The article analyzes the place of examination in the system of investigative actions and its correlation with other investigative actions. The author conducts a comparative study of definitions given by national and foreign scholars and proposes a new definition. The study examines similarities and differences between examination and other investigative actions such as verification of testimony at the scene, body examination, search, investigative experiment, and forensic examination. The research substantiates specific features of examination as an independent investigative action, including its purpose, procedural flexibility, and possibility of implementation at the pre-investigation stage. The author emphasizes that understanding these differences helps prevent errors in law enforcement practice. The conclusions can serve as a theoretical basis for improving criminal procedural legislation and investigative practice.
