GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CRIME: FORCING A WOMAN TO MARRY OR PREVENTING HER FROM MARRYING

This article emphasizes the importance of protecting women's rights, combating forced marriage, and developing legal awareness and culture in society. The legal basis of the crime of forcing a woman to marry or obstructing her marriage, as well as the social and legal problems of committing such crimes as violating women's right to free marriage or forced marriages, were studied. Additionally, a scientific and theoretical analysis was conducted on the general characteristics of the crime of forcing a woman to marry or preventing her from marrying, the history of establishing responsibility and the necessity for establishing responsibility, and the author's proposals and recommendations were put forward. The experience of foreign countries on this important issue was examined, and proposals and recommendations for its development within our country's criminal legislation system were formulated.
