CONCEPT, ESSENCE OF TRADEMARKS. NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS

The scientific article deals with the concept of trademark and service mark, their legal nature,
functions of a trademark. Legal protection of trademark in the field of intellectual property is given,
integrating national legislative acts with international standards. The procedure for filing and
registration of trademark and service mark under national legislation and international agreements,
international regulation in the field of trademark, as well as its legal basis, is considered.
