Abstract

This scientific article addresses the issue of the protection of individual rights and freedoms by the prosecutor. The article explores the duties and functions of the prosecutor’s office in the Republic of Uzbekistan, with particular focus on the prosecutor’s role in safeguarding human rights. It also analyzes the practices of the prosecutor’s office in foreign countries such as Germany, France, the USA, and Russia in the context of human rights protection. International legal principles and the alignment of prosecutorial activities with international standards are also discussed, along with methods to enhance the effectiveness of the system. The article concludes with proposals and recommendations for improving Uzbekistan’s prosecutorial system.
