THE STUDY OF ZOOMORPHIC METAPHORS IN SCIENTIFIC SOURCES

Abstract

ABSTRACT

 It is known that zoomorphic images have been an integral part of fiction literature from ancient times to the present day. At different stages of human history, understanding of the world took place under the influence of people's relationships with animals. People observed their behavior, habits, appearance, lifestyle, as a result of which they formed their ideas about this or that animal species as the carrier of a certain image. With the development of the human mind, their ideas and views about animals have caused various changes in their culture. To date, it has led to the emergence and further development of animal zoomorphic images, as well as various theories about its perception in the minds of people in different periods of history. This article gives information related to the primitive ideas about animals, the first zoomorphism and its manifestations, and to what extent they were reflected in their further development and were preserved in the recent history of antiquity.
