THE ROLE OF WORDNET DICTIONARIES IN WORLD LEXICOGRAPHY

At the present time, not only in world linguistics, but also in Uzbek linguistics, great attention is paid to the field of lexicography in researches related to pragmalinguistics, cognitive linguistics, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, computer linguistics. It is known that lexicography is one of the practical branches of linguistics. The field of computer lexicography was formed as a result of the optimization of working with dictionaries with the help of a computer. Computer lexicography is an important component of applied linguistics, which studies linguistic and software-based computer dictionaries created on the basis of the principle of coding and decoding, their compilation programs, and algorithms.
