SOCIO-DEMOGRAPHIC CHANGES IN MARRIAGE AND DIVORCE PROCESSES IN UZBEKISTAN

This article scientifically examines marriage and divorce in Uzbekistan as a demographic process. Changes in the absolute number and coefficients of registered marriages and divorces are analyzed. Regions with the highest levels of marriage and divorce and their dynamics are also studied. In addition, social, economic, and demographic factors affecting family stability, as well as causes of divorce, are analyzed using a sociological approach. Based on data from the Statistics Agency and scientific sources, the role and trends of marriage and divorce processes in the development of society are identified. The results of the study are of practical importance in improving family policy, ensuring demographic stability, and developing social programs.
