Abstract

This article analyzes the role of motivation and emotional-intellectual factors in developing constructive thinking within technological education from a pedagogical-psychological perspective. Constructive thinking is explained based on Epstein’s Constructive Thinking Inventory (CTI), demonstrating its close connection with emotional stability, intrinsic motivation, and emotional intelligence (EI). Using Mayer-Salovey-Goleman and Bar-On models, the study theoretically and empirically examines the impact of motivation (intrinsic and extrinsic) and emotional-intellectual factors on constructive thinking in students’ project-based technological activities. Results indicate that students with high EI and intrinsic motivation increase constructive thinking levels by 35-40%. The article provides practical recommendations and diagnostic tools for technology education teachers.
