IMPROVING METHODS FOR DEVELOPING SELF-EDUCATIONAL COMPETENCE IN THE PROCESS OF STUDING ENGLISH LANGUAGE

This article describes the use of various methods of developing self-study competence when learning English. One of the components of the professional competence of teaching a foreign language is a special cognitive competence. It involves several areas of cognitive activity: the sphere of practical language proficiency; areas related to mastering language theory, foreign language culture and the theory of intercultural communication, methods of teaching a foreign language.
