This article discusses the study of plant names (phytonyms) in the framework of scientific achievements in the Middle Ages in Central Asia, their importance in medicine, agriculture and other fields. In particular, the classification of plants and their medicinal properties in Ibn Sina's "Canons of Medicine" are described in detail.
