Abstract

Alliteration is a literary device characterized by the repetition of consonants at the beginning of a word, and is one of the most common and effective methods used in children's folklore. Alliteration is used in children's folklore not only as an aesthetic device, but also as a mechanism for enhancing cognitive and linguistic development. This article analyzes the use of the phenomenon of alliteration in children's folklore of the Uzbek and English languages.
