This article discusses the craftsmanship of writer O‘lmas Umarbekov in short story writing. Through the analysis of his stories, the unique qualities of the author in creating characters, depicting human psychology, and reflecting the national color are highlighted. In his works, the writer vividly portrays national values, customs, and traditions, revealing the spiritual world of the Uzbek people. The theme of women's destiny holds a special place in his stories, where their role in society, social inequality, and emotional struggles are delicately and poignantly conveyed. Furthermore, the human inner experiences and spiritual world are central to Umarbekov’s stories, where individuals’ internal conflicts, hopes, and sufferings are deeply explored through artistic means. These aspects determine the unique artistic value of Umarbekov's works and place him among the outstanding examples of our national literature.
