Мазкур мақолада Фарғона водийси ўзбеклари орасида кенг тарқалган ва ҳозиргача ўзининг асрий анъаналарини сақлаб келаётган ҳунармандчилик тармоқларидан бири – сартарошлик ҳақида сўз боради. Мақолада асосий эътибор сартарошликнинг водийга хос ҳудудий ва этник хусусиятлари, касб сирлари, усуллари, иш қуроллари, мазкур касб эгаларининг жамиятдаги бошқа функциялари, сартарошлик билан билан боғлиқ урф-одат ва маросимларга қаратилган.
