Bugungi kunda ko`plab davlatlar o`z tashqi siyosatini amalga oshirish instrumenti sifatida zamonaviy axborot-kommunikatsiya texnologiyalardan foydalanishga katta e`tibor qaratishmoqda. Bu o`rinda ayniqsa Internet, ijtimoiy tarmoqlar, bloglar va boshqa kommunikatsiya kanallarning ahamiyati ortmoqda. Agarda so`nggi yillarda tashqi siyosatning samarali instrumenti sifatida “yumshoq kuch”, “aqlli kuch”, “raqamli diplomatiya”lar bo`lib kelgan bo`lsa, bugungi kunga kelib, olimlar va ekspertlar ularning barchasini birlashtiruvchi “Strategik kommunikatiya”ning yuzaga kelgani ta`kidlashmoqda. Axborot kommunikatsiya texnologiyalarining yangi imkoniyatlaridan foydalangan holda AQSH bugungi kunda Markaziy Osiyo bilan tashqi siyosiy aloqalarni amalga oshirishda strategik kommunikatsiyadan samarali foydalanmoqda.
