Eng qadimgi davr tarixining nafaqat davrlashtirish xususiyatlarini ochib berish, balki ijtimoiy – iqtisodiy munosabatlar, urug‘-qabila uyushmasi va boshqaruv, tashqi aloqalar, e’tiqodlar va ma’naviy madaniyat tarixini yangi ma’lumotlarga asoslanib ko‘rib chiqish – dolzarb vazifadir. O‘zbekiston, shu jumladan, Xorazm vohasi va umuman Markaziy Osiyo ibtidoiy tarixidagi qadimiy jamoalarning ijtimoiy-iqtisodiy tizimini, turmush tarzi, urf-odatlari va ma’naviy madaniyatini o‘rganish jarayoni tarixiy tadqiqot usullari va tarixiy rekonstruksiya masalalari ancha takomillashgan paytda, urug‘chilik jamoasi tarixini tadqiq etish borasida yangicha qarashlar qatorida, ilgari ishlab chiqilgan va fanga joriy etilgan yondashuvlar va g‘oyalari to‘g‘risida maqolada to‘xtalib o‘tiladi. Shundan kelib chiqqan holda, urug‘chilik tuzumining paydo bo‘lishi jarayonini o‘rganish yuzasidan shakllangan nazariyalar tahlili amalga oshirildi.
