This article examines the problem of the formation of the Polish diaspora and its participation in the economic life of the Turkestan region. The Polish diaspora was formed in Turkestan in the late 19th century, as a result of its conquest by the Russian Empire. There were many Polish soldiers and officers in the Russian army, and some of them settled and eventually formed a Polish community. The Poles played an active role in the development of the region, as well as in the political and economic life of the Turkestan Governorate-General.
