ISSUES OF COTTON TRADE AND FIBRE TRANSPORTATION TO THE METROPOLIS IN THE FERGANA VALLEY

The article focuses on certain issues of the development of cotton farming in the Ferghana Valley during the colonial period. The process of purchasing cotton and transporting fiber to the metropolis by firms operating in the Ferghana region is partially analyzed on the basis of archival documents.
