Abstract

This article analyzes the architectural monuments of ancient times located on the territory of Uzbekistan from a historical and cultural perspective. As an important crossroads of the Great Silk Road, Central Asia, for thousands of years, has been the site of the architecture of various civilizations (Greco-Bactrian, Kushan, etc.), the first examples of architecture through archaeological monuments such as the remains of ancient cities (Sopolli, Jarkutan, Fayoztepa, Tuproqqala, Koykirilgankal). The article emphasizes the uniqueness of the architectural heritage of Uzbekistan, its synthesis of Eastern and Western cultures, and today draws attention to the issues of preservation and restoration. These monuments are valued not only as historical monuments, but also as living symbols of national identity and cultural heritage.
