Abstract

The article analyzes the theoretical and methodological foundations of studying the history of the Kazakh Ethnos in Uzbekistan. The author highlights the transition from the Marxist approach of Soviet historiography to modern methodological pluralism. Based on L.Gumilyov’s theory of ethnogenesis, F.Barth’s “ethnic boundaries”, and B.Anderson’s “imagined communities” concepts, the research examines the autochthonous (indigenous) nature and socio-cultural integration of Kazakhs in Uzbekistan. The article scientifically substantiates the role of the Kazakh diaspora in regional stability and cultural cooperation.
