GUIDE TO THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES OF UZBEKISTAN: STRUCTURE, CONTENT, HISTORICAL AND SOURCE STUDY VALUE

The article describes the structural content of the 1960 archival guide of the National Archives of Uzbekistan. The analysis of the source study significance of the Guide is carried out according to thematic principles: administrative, managerial, national economic, social funds and their storage units. Quantitative data on funds for these groups are presented, indicating the relationships between them.
The study presents information on the types of documents, their specific features, chronological framework, historical significance, and role in the life of the state and society during the period under study.
The work pays special attention to the aspects of informatization of this reference book, as a result of which the level of historical and source study potential of information about archival funds collected in the Guide was revealed, which is important in the study of the history of the country on the basis of archival documentary materials.
