ABOUT THE SOCIETY OF TURKESTAN IN MIRZO SIROJIDDIN HAKIM’S WORK “TUHAFI AHLI BUKHARA”

Abstract

This article discusses the experiences of Mirzo Sirojiddin Hakimiy, one of the representatives of the Jadid movement, during his travels, in which he witnessed numerous events and processes. The article highlights the reasons behind Turkestan’s subjugation under the colonial rule of the Russian Empire. It also presents the author’s calls for awakening the ignorant and uneducated society of Turkestan, uniting for the sake of the homeland, acquiring knowledge, and working for the country's development. The importance of developing and reforming the field of education as a key path to progress is emphasized.
