INTERPRETATION OF THE LIFE OF NOMADIC PASTORALISTS IN WRITTEN SOURCES

Nomadic herders had an important place in the social and political life of ancient times. For this reason, information about them and the relationship with them has been preserved in written sources. The article provides information about the tribes that lived in the territory of Central Asia preserved in ancient Asian, Achaemenid, Greek, Roman and Chinese sources. Written sources about the nomadic tribes in the territory of Central Asia from the Achaemenid period are preserved on the rocks of Behistun, Persepolis and Nakhshi Rustam.
