HISTORY OF COOPERATION OF UZBEKISTAN WITH THE COMMONWEALTH OF INDEPENDENT STATES IN THE FIELD OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Abstract

This article presents reflections on the activities carried out in cooperation with the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), an integral part of Uzbekistan’s international collaboration, aimed at stabilizing the ecological situation in the country during the period of independence. The paper highlights the implemented measures within this cooperation and provides conclusions on the steps taken to address environmental challenges. It is also based on the fact that Uzbekistan's cooperation with the CIS in the field of environmental protection has a long history, and this cooperation serves to solve regional environmental problems, rational use of natural resources and ensure environmental safety. It is analyzed from a scientific point of view that further strengthening of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the CIS in the field of environmental protection in the future is of great importance not only for the region, but also for the whole world.
