CONSTRUCTION OF THE “ANGREN-POP” ELECTRIFIED RAILWAY LINE AND ITS ROLE IN THE NATIONAL ECONOMY

The article, emphasizing that after gaining independence, there are a number of problems in the railway system awaiting their solution, one of which is the lack of a unified national railway transport communication system covering the territories and regions of Uzbekistan, which has not only socio-economic, but also political and strategic significance, based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 18, 2013 No. PP-1985 "On Measures for Organizing the Construction of the “Angren-Pop” Electrified Railway Line," the Order of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 15, 2012 No. 547, measures and efforts to organize the construction of the “Angren-Pop” electrified railway line, as well as the place and role of the railway line in the national economy, are briefly analyzed.
