The article reveals the history of Turkey during the period when Mustafa Kemal came to power, who became, without a doubt, the “father of the nation”. The history of all of Turkey is very closely connected with the personality of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. His whole life, activities, work merged with the fate of the Turkish people and the entire country. He made an indelible impression and predetermined the further development of the empire. He managed not only to change the way of life of the Turkish people, but also to leave himself in the memory of the entire nation. Until now, the significance of his reforms has not faded for Turkey. Every generation remembers and is proud of what this outstanding man did for them. It was Mustafa Kemal who laid the foundations of the modern Turkish state; it was he who first established a republican form of government in the country, which subsequently became more and more improved and strengthened.
