THE SYSTEM OF PROTECTION OF THE URBAN MONUMENT OF KALIYATEPA

In this article, the method of archaeological excavations is used to study the defensive fortification of the urban monument of Kaliyatepa, which is an ancient place of Jizzakh, reflecting the formation of defensive walls and the stages of gradual development. This allows us to clarify the periodicity of the formation of the first urban culture of the region.
