In this article, the role of Umarshaikh Mirza in the political, socio-economic life of Amir Temur and the Timurid state is analyzed based on historical sources and scientific literature. In Uzbek and world historiography, a number of opinions have been expressed about the research and analysis of the prince's political activity. At the same time, the military potential of Umarshaikh Mirza, his efforts in organizing the defense of Andijan against the Mongols, and the historical significance of the Chukalak battle are discussed. The coverage of the Battle of Chukalak in historical sources and the direction of military operations have been thoroughly analyzed.
