Studies have fully proven that humans have been living in the territory of Samarkand city and its surrounding regions since ancient times, that is, from the Paleolithic (Old Stone Age) period. The Zarafshan basin, especially its middle stream region directly connected to the city of Samarkand, has long attracted the attention of human communities with its geographical location, natural climate, and long-term stability of ecological conditions. The article provides information about the archeological monuments of the Late Paleolithic period of Samarkand Province.
