THE INFLUENCE OF THE CORTES ON THE SOCIO-ECONOMIC AND POLITICAL LIFE OF THE PYRENEAN PENINSULA IN THE MIDDLE AGES

This article analyzes the influence of the Cortes on the socio-economic and political life of the Pyrenean Peninsula in the Middle Ages, in particular, the emergence of Cortes in such states as Castile, Aragon, Navarre and Portugal, their activities, significance in the political life of the country, the formation and development of the activities of the Cortes. It also reflects the views and attitudes of foreign scientists on this issue, provides explanations based on the historical roots of terms and objective approaches.
