UZBEKISTAN AND THE ORGANIZATION OF ISLAMIC COOPERATION: PROSPECTS AND PROBLEMS IN THE TOURISM SECTOR

The article examines various areas of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, in particular, based on the analysis of various scientific literature, the prerequisites for the possibility of developing ziyorat tourism were studied. It was studied that the OIC member countries are little aware of the tourism potential of Uzbekistan, in connection with which there are more outgoing tourists than incoming tourists, but consistent reforms in the tourism sector in Uzbekistan allow developing ziyorat tourism, in particular for such countries as Malaysia, Indonesia, the UAE and others, attracting them with its rich historical and cultural heritage of leading representatives of Sufism and other representatives of the Islamic world, in addition, promising areas for further cooperation were considered.
