THEORETICAL-METHODOLOGICAL BASIS OF THE STUDY OF URBAN PROCESSES

This article discusses the issue of theoretical and methodological study of urbanization processes. In the study of urbanization processes the information is provided about methods such as classification, typology, demographic and comparative comparison. At the same time, the opinions of researchers about the use of interdisciplinary research methods of the urbanization process and its effectiveness are presented. An attempt was made to analyze the process of urbanization in history. Based on the research of Western scientists, the problems, methods and directions of studying urbanization processes, the importance of the city in the life of society were discussed.
