In the modern era, the flexibility of the labor market and the free movement of labor have a serious impact on the economic growth of individual regions and countries, and the impact of labor migration on the socio-economic development of regions is becoming more and more interested in increasing the economic effect in the country. Labor migration has become a prominent feature of modern interregional and international economic relations. The mechanical movement of population in the world is characterized by a significant expansion of the scale of migration flows, which by the beginning of the 2020s are approaching the mark of 100 million per year against 3 million people, according to the UN, in the 60s of the XX century. In addition, internal movements of labor between regions of individual countries are also intensifying, reflecting the growing mobility of national labor markets. Therefore, it is important to determine the factors that determine the constantly increasing exchange of labor, to find out what economic models are inherent in it, what consequences the international labor migration of the population will have for the economic and demographic development of the country. These questions are of great scientific and practical importance, since timely and adequate answers to them can become a significant contribution to the effective development of individual regions.
Labor migration since the 90s of the last century has covered almost all countries of the world, becoming a truly global problem, every year more than half a million young people enter the labor market of Uzbekistan. However, the number of jobs created for young people needs to be increased in order to curb labor emigration of young people in the country. Considering the above, the topic of the dissertation work related to the study of the impact of labor migration of the population on the socio - economic development of the regions of the country seems important and timely.
