PORTRAITS OF AMIR TEMUR AND TEMURID

Abstract

The article investigates the process of creating historical portraits devoted to the image of Amir Temur and the Temurid dynasty. In 1997, the management of the State Museum of Temurid History of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan and the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan announced a competition for the best works to create portraits of Temurid and established a commission of scientists and artists to select sketches that could serve as a basis for future portraits.
