ISSUES OF OPENNESS AND TRANSPARENCY OF THE PRESS SERVICE OF THE CABINET OF MINISTERS OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN

This scientific article explains the experience of Uzbekistan in providing free access to the governmental information, as well as identifies range of problems in this sphere. The role of open data in the system of public administration is analyzed. Besides, the author provides detailed results of the research dedicated to the studying of the activities hold by the press service of Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan in terms of openness and transparency. There are specific recommendations given for establishing effective work of the Information service of the government and strengthening its interaction with media.
