Nowadays the problem of diagnosis and prevention of chronic tonsillitis remains one of the main directions in the field of pediatrics and otorhinolaryngology. Chronic tonsillitis accounts for 74% according to some authors. Analysis of foreign and domestic literature has shown an important role of viral infections in the development of chronic tonsillitis and adenoiditis in children. The decisive role in the development of inflammation of adenoid vegetations is played by infection of the organism with the most frequent intrauterine infection. Due to this in our country, special attention is paid to the health protection of mothers and children.
