Son suyagining distal uchining sinishida bimodal yosh taqsimoti aniqlangan, uning cho‘qqilaridan biri yuqori energiya bilan jarohatlangan yoshlarda, ikkinchisi esa past energiya bilan jarohatlangan keksa ayollarda uchraydi. Aholining qarishi tufayli butun dunyoda son suyagi distal uchining sinish chastotasi ortishini bashorat qilish mumkin. Son suyagi distal uchining sinishlarini davolashda bloklovchi intramedullyar sterjenlar va burchakli barqarorlashtiruvchi plastinkalardan foydalanish asta-sekin odatiy holga aylanib borayotgan bo‘lsa-da, jarrohlar orasida hanuzgacha son suyagi distal uchining sinishlarini, ayniqsa bo‘g‘im ichi sinishlarini davolashning eng yaxshi usuli to‘g‘risida yagona fikr yo‘q.

AO/OTA tasnifi bo‘yicha 33A tipidagi son suyagi distal uchining bo‘g‘imdan tashqari va bo‘g‘im ichi oddiy sinishlari retrograd intramedullyar osteosintez uchun ko‘rsatma hisoblanadi.
