COMMUNITY-ACQUIRED PNEUMONIA IN CHILDREN: CAUSES, DEVELOPMENT MECHANISMS, CLINICAL MANIFESTATIONS, METHODS OF DIAGNOSTICS AND THERAPY
Keywords:
community-acquired pneumonia, epidemiology, children, diagnostics, treatment.Abstract
Community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) in children remains one of the most pressing problems in pediatrics, with high morbidity and significant health consequences. The article discusses the main causes of CAP in children, including viral, bacterial and mixed infections, as well as the mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis of the disease. Clinical manifestations, which may vary depending on the patient's age and risk factors, are analyzed in detail. Particular attention is paid to modern methods of diagnosis, therapy of community-acquired pneumonia, which depends on the etiology of the infection, the patient's age and the severity of the condition. Various therapeutic strategies are considered, including antibiotic therapy, antiviral drugs and supportive care, with an emphasis on the need for an individual approach. In conclusion, the importance of timely detection and adequate treatment of the disease to prevent complications and reduce mortality among children is emphasized.
