PURULENT-SEPTIC DISEASES IN NEWBORNS: CAUSES, DIAGNOSTICS AND PRINCIPLES OF TREATMENT

Abstract

An analysis of the medical histories of patients treated in the surgical infection department showed that purulent-inflammatory diseases in early childhood, particularly surgical sepsis, have a very severe course and leave behind a number of serious complications. These include rough skin scars, pathological dislocations of the femur and humerus, and other complications. Under our observation, 175 newborns received appropriate medical treatment in the surgical infection department. Among them, 34 had scars and defects in various parts of the body, and 12 patients with pathological dislocation of the femur were treated with a traction splint, yielding very good results.
