MODERN ETIOLOGICAL SPECTRUM OF DERMATOMYCOSIS PATHOGENS IN THE TASHKENT REGION
Keywords:
dermatomycoses; dermatophytes; Trichophyton rubrum; Microsporum canis; microsporiaAbstract
Purpose of the study: To study the modern etiological spectrum and structure of dermatomycosis pathogens in the Tashkent region based on cultural studies, to determine the dynamics of changes in the species composition of dermatophytes, their epidemiological significance, as well as the role of zoophilic pathogens in the formation of modern clinical and epidemiological features of dermatomycosis.
Materials and methods of research: A retrospective analysis of cultural studies of clinical material of dermatomycosis patients examined in the Tashkent region in 2020-2024 was conducted. The material was sown on a nutrient medium with local ingredients (patent No. JAP 07071.22-08-2022). The identification of fungi was carried out based on the macro- and microscopic characteristics of the cultures.
Results: In the etiological structure of dermatomycoses, dermatophytes predominated, among which the red trichophyton (Trichophyton rubrum) played a leading role, especially in foot mycoses. Among the zoophilic dermatophytes, faviform trichophyton (Trichophyton faveforme) dominated, indicating an increase in the role of zooanthroponotic forms of infection. The main causative agent of microsporia was Microsporum canis, which is widespread in both urban and rural areas. An increase in the specific weight of zoophilic dermatophytes in the overall structure of dermatomycoses was noted.
Conclusion: The current etiological structure of dermatomycoses in the Tashkent region is characterized by the dominance of anthropophilic dermatophytes, primarily Trichophyton rubrum, against a backdrop of increasing epidemiological significance of zoophilic pathogens. The high prevalence of -induced microsporia justifies the need to strengthen interdepartmental preventive measures.
