TACTICAL AND TECHNICAL ASPECTS OF TRANSABDOMINAL LAPAROSCOPIC HERNIALLOPLASTY FOR INGUINAL HERNIAS

This article presents a comparative analysis of the clinical outcomes of two laparoscopic hernioplasty techniques for inguinal hernias — TAPP (transabdominal preperitoneal) and e-TEP (extended totally extraperitoneal). A total of 98 patients were divided equally into two groups. Key parameters such as operative time, postoperative complications, recovery period, and recurrence rates were analyzed. The e-TEP method demonstrated advantages including shorter operative duration, reduced hospitalization, and absence of recurrences in the long term. Both techniques proved safe and effective, but e-TEP may be the preferred option for selected patient categories.
