Abstract

Malignant epithelial ovarian tumors account for 90% of all cases, with serous carcinomas accounting for up to 85%. Due to high molecular and genetic heterogeneity, as well as resistance to chemotherapy, it is difficult to find effective targets for treatment. In the course of the study, 74 patients with serous ovarian cancer treated from 2020 to 2024 underwent immunohistochemical examination using monoclonal antibodies to CD3, CD4, CD8, CD11b, CD14 and CD16. The average age of patients was 53±12 years. The control group consisted of 70 patients with benign ovarian tumors. The results showed that macrophages (CD11b+, CD14+) predominated in the tumor microenvironment at all stages of serous ovarian cancer. They were followed by CD3+ lymphocytes, CD8+ and CD4+, and CD16+ cells were the smallest in number. It was found that as the disease progressed, the number of macrophages (CD11b+, CD14+) and lymphocytes (CD3+, CD16+) decreased, regardless of the degree of tumor differentiation. With increasing tumor stage, the number of CD4+ and CD8+ cells also decreased, and this decrease was more pronounced in poorly differentiated tumors.
