Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic, caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, has created a serious threat to public health. Today, the development of medicine in our country requires the adaptation of the medical system to the requirements of international standards, the study of the spread, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of infectious diseases, and the reduction of the development of complications. The relevance lies in the study of the epidemiological features and clinical manifestations of COVID-19, the dependence of clinical variants of the disease on various strains of the SARS-Cov-2 virus, the study of the virulence and pathogenicity of the SARS-Cov-2 virus, the substantiation of the development of severe and complicated forms of the disease, the study of the pathogenetic features of COVID-19, justification of the development of adverse outcomes, study of the relationship between the genetic and phenotypic characteristics of the SARS-Cov-2 virus and clinical and laboratory manifestations of the new coronavirus infection, study of the effectiveness and safety of vaccines against COVID-19. Today, the development of medicine in our country requires adapting the medical system to international standards, studying the spread, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of infectious diseases, and reducing the risk of complications.
