OUR METHOD OF TREATING PATIENTS WITH PSEUDOARTHROSIS OF THE EXTERNAL CONDYLUS OF THE HUMERUS

Abstract

The article describes surgical treatment of pseudoarthrosis of the LCHB (lateral condyles of the humeral bone), and the results of their treatment by the method of surgical intervention proposed by the authors. The article presents the experience of surgical treatment in 55 patients (5 adults, 50 children) using transplants taken from the diaphysis of the patient's own fibula to replace the bone defect in the area of ​​the pseudoarthrosis of the LCHB using the Ilizarov apparatus. In 12 patients who underwent bone grafting with the Ilizarov apparatus, fusion was achieved in 11 (91.7%). In 30 patients, 3.4 pins were used to fix the grafts and fragments, with external immobilization with a plaster cast, among them, 80% achieved bone fusion of the pseudoarthrosis within 2-3 months. In 20% of patients, bone fusion was achieved after using the Ilizarov apparatus as stage 2. The possibility of engraftment of a free bone graft in conditions of intra-articular pseudoarthrosis has been proven using the example of surgical treatment of pseudoarthrosis of the LCHB.
